Nothing dramatic happens on a Thursday. She sleeps badly, then again, then again. She eats a little less and stops mentioning the knee, because she doesn't want to worry you. On Sunday's video call she smiles and says everything is fine.
A call every morning catches the slope. Not an alarm: a pattern, early enough to act. Call her doctor, ask a cousin to drop by, book the flight sooner.

When something is wrong
The check-in stops. A person gets involved. Fast.
If she mentions chest pain, breathlessness, a fall or confusion, or says she's alone and frightened, Roju drops the script, tells her calmly what to do and starts the escalation you set up.

Why wouldn't I just call her myself?
You should, and you will. But you call on Sunday, and she tells you she's fine, because that's what mothers do. Roju is the daily check she can't wave away, on a schedule that doesn't depend on yours, and it keeps a record you can look back on. It makes your own calls better, because you already know what to ask about.
Will she know it's AI?
Yes. It introduces itself as "Chinna's assistant", and if she asks, it tells her plainly that it's a computer voice you set up. It never pretends to be a person. You're there for the first call, so she's never surprised. We designed it to feel like a punctual, slightly formal relative who rings every morning.
How does the free trial work?
Three days, free. You pick a plan and add a card to start, and nothing is charged during the trial (Razorpay may check the card with a small amount it refunds). The day before it ends, we remind you on WhatsApp. If you're happy, do nothing: the first month is charged and the calls carry on. If not, cancel in the app in one tap before then and you pay nothing.
How does grocery ordering work?
She asks on the call, Roju reads the list back, and you get the order on WhatsApp. With your Zepto account connected, it's placed within your limit and paid from Zepto Cash or a UPI limit you set, or we send you a payment link. Zepto connection is rolling out; until it's on for you, ordering runs through our care line on Daily Plus, from a prepaid pantry balance. Anything over your limit waits for your YES. If something is out of stock or the shop doesn't deliver to her, you hear right away and nothing is charged.
What if she doesn't answer?
Roju tries again 20 and 40 minutes later. After three missed calls you get a WhatsApp message, and replying CALL asks her local contact to go and check. If she keeps not answering, that's something you want to know.
What if she doesn't want it?
Then it stops. Roju asks her permission on the first call. If she says no then, or tells it to stop on any later call, the calls stop and you're told, so you can talk to her.
Is her health information safe?
Calls are never recorded as audio. Transcripts are deleted after 90 days. Her profile and call notes are stored in India, go only to the family numbers you add, and are never sold or used for ads. You can delete everything from Settings. The privacy notice has the details.
Can my brother and sister get the updates too?
Yes. Add their WhatsApp numbers and everyone gets the same three lines, the same alerts and the Sunday summary.

Telugu, Telugu mixed with English, Hindi and simple English today. Tamil and Kannada are next.
Is this a medical service?
No. Roju never diagnoses or gives medical advice. It asks the questions you set, notes what she says, and gets a person involved when something sounds wrong. For emergencies in India, call 112 or 108.
